When travelling abroad, having appropriate coverage for unexpected illness or accident is comforting.
If you are a member of an employee benefit plan, you may already have some degree of "base" travel coverage. You should refer to your benefits booklet or check with your plan administrator for more details.
Also available is individual travel coverage which will give you the peace of mind you would want when travelling. Individual plans may also be a good supplement to your employee benefit plan, should you be a member of one.
